Location: East Sussex / Kent / On Location
Job Type: Part-Time / Freelance
Compensation: £150–£300 per shoot day, or monthly retainer depending on experience and availability
Capture the moments that make people want to visit.
The Lobby is a hospitality growth agency helping hotels, restaurants, bars, cafés and experience-led venues become more visible, more desirable and more frequently booked.
We’re looking for a Hospitality Content Creator to help capture photo and video content across our client venues — from restaurants and cocktail bars to hotels, cafés, events, launches and hospitality experiences.
This role is ideal for someone who loves creating content, has a good eye for atmosphere, and knows how to make a venue feel desirable through photo and video.
The goal is simple:
Make people say, “I want to go there.”
The Role
As a Hospitality Content Creator, you’ll be responsible for capturing the raw moments that bring our clients’ brands to life.
You’ll visit venues, shoot content, capture atmosphere, film food and drinks, document events, and help us create the visual assets used across social media, ads, email campaigns and client marketing.
This isn’t about taking random photos.
It’s about understanding what makes a hospitality experience feel worth visiting — the lighting, the people, the details, the movement, the food, the drinks, the atmosphere and the story behind it.
What You’ll Be Doing
Visiting hospitality venues to capture photo and video content
Filming restaurants, bars, hotels, cafés, events and launches
Capturing short-form video for Instagram Reels, TikTok and Stories
Taking high-quality photos for social media, ads and campaigns
Capturing atmosphere, guests, staff, interiors, food, drinks and behind-the-scenes moments
Working from shot lists and creative briefs
Creating content around menu launches, event nights, venue openings and seasonal campaigns
Capturing both polished brand content and natural behind-the-scenes moments
Organising and uploading content after shoots
Helping spot content opportunities while on location
Working with The Lobby team to turn real hospitality experiences into content people want to watch
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with a strong creative eye, good taste and a natural feel for social-first content.
You don’t need years of professional photography or agency experience.
You do need to understand what makes a place look and feel desirable.
You’ll be a good fit if you are:
Confident filming content on a phone or camera
Good at capturing atmosphere and detail
Comfortable shooting in restaurants, bars, hotels, cafés and event spaces
Interested in hospitality, food, drink, travel, lifestyle and culture
Visually aware and taste-led
Comfortable capturing short-form video
Able to follow a brief and shot list
Reliable, organised and punctual
Comfortable working independently on location
Good at spotting small moments that make content feel real
Excited by creating content that makes people want to visit
Training Provided
You won’t be expected to know exactly how The Lobby creates hospitality content from day one.
We’ll provide training around our approach to content creation, hospitality storytelling and demand creation.
You’ll be trained on:
The Lobby’s hospitality growth framework
How to capture content that creates attention, desire and demand
How to shoot restaurants, bars, hotels, cafés and events
How to capture atmosphere, not just products
How to work from content briefs and shot lists
How to film for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Stories and ads
How to capture content for launches, events and campaigns
How to organise and deliver files after a shoot
How to identify strong content moments while on location
You’ll also get access to internal examples, shot lists, checklists and creative references so you know exactly what we’re looking for.
The aim is to help you become excellent at creating content for hospitality, lifestyle and travel brands.
Bonus Points
Experience creating content for restaurants, bars, hotels, cafés, events or lifestyle brands
Experience with photography or videography
Experience creating Reels, TikToks or short-form video
Experience using CapCut, Lightroom, Canva, Premiere Pro, Final Cut or similar tools
Ability to do basic video editing
Ability to take strong photos in low-light hospitality environments
Existing portfolio, Instagram or examples of creative work
Access to your own camera or filming equipment
Comfortable attending events, launches and busy venues
What Makes This Role Different
This isn’t a generic content creator role.
Hospitality happens in real places — restaurants, bars, hotels, cafés, events, launches, retreats, dining rooms, lobbies, terraces and private spaces.
You’ll be capturing experiences people actually want to have.
Food. Drinks. Music. Rooms. Tables. Events. Travel. Culture. Atmosphere.
As The Lobby grows, there will be opportunities to travel to venues across the UK and potentially beyond, capturing content for hospitality brands, attending events and helping tell stories on location.
For the right person, this role is a chance to build a portfolio around hospitality, lifestyle and travel — not just generic social media content.
How We Work
The Lobby’s approach is built around one idea:
Successful hospitality brands create demand before customers are actively searching.
Content plays a huge role in that.
The best hospitality content doesn’t just show a venue.
It makes people feel something.
It captures the reason someone would book, visit, return or recommend it.
Your job is to help us capture those moments.
What You’ll Get
Paid shoot opportunities
Hospitality-focused creative work
Training, briefs and shot lists
Opportunities to travel for shoots, launches and events
Flexible freelance / part-time work
The chance to build a strong hospitality, lifestyle and travel portfolio
Direct involvement in creating content for premium venues
Opportunities to grow with The Lobby as the agency expands
Compensation
This role is freelance / part-time to start.
Compensation will depend on experience, the type of shoot and the level of responsibility involved.
As a guide:
£150–£300 per shoot day
For ongoing client work, monthly retainers may also be available depending on availability, workload and experience.
Travel expenses will be covered for approved shoots.
Additional editing fees, project fees and event coverage fees may also be available depending on the client work involved.
